Currently the Working Blue uniform can be worn by Auxiliarists until it no longer serviceable. This, unfortunately, seems to be left to the individuals opinion. What are the "serviceable" guidelines for color fade, condition, wear and tear etc.? How should we determine the "unserviceable" condition?
Uniforms are unserviceable when there are tears and holes in clothes. Frayed edges, or when there is a noticeable color difference also indicate an unserviceable condition. This includes irremovable stains. It is the responsibility of the individual Auxiliarist's chain of leadership and management to enforce this standard when individuals are complacent. If this is an issue in your flotilla or division, I encourage you to broach the issue with your elected leaders.
