Can I Get a Waiver Based on My Military/Government/Civilian License?

"Why don't we recognize Current Military, Government and Civilian licenses? It would give the entire Coast Guard more resources to call upon in emergencies."

The qualifications tracked in the Auxiliary Database (AUXDATA ) are based on those needed to perform Auxiliary missions described in the Auxiliary manual.  To ensure uniformity in the boat crew qualification process, waivers of requirements are not granted, even for extensive life experience. Given the extremely diverse talent in the Auxiliary, it would be impossible to track the thousands of qualifications members have obtained throughout their consistently impressive service-oriented lives.  It would be more challenging to weigh one experience against another when determining whether to grant a waiver.  If you wish to create a new Auxiliary mission or modify an existing one the most effective way to do it is through your chain of leadership and management.
